Satori Papillons is a small breeder of beautiful papillons and the drop eared version the phalene. We strive to produce not only Beautiful, Healthy papillons from well known, strong Champion blood lines. but also wonderful loving pet and show puppies!
Our Goal at Satori Papillons is to produce a lovely dog of sound body, mind and of course beauty. who represents the breed standard and our personal goals as closely as possible.
The papillon is a stunning little dog. but don't let their small size and striking beauty mislead you! They loveto romp around and play, get dirty and allot of mine even like to swim in the river with my children during the summer months. They love to garden with me and "help" me dig the holes. .
Papillons/phalenes may be small dogs, but they enjoy doing most any thing big dogs can do...within reason of course. They are big dogs in small dogs clothing.
The Papillon is a very friendly, out-going little dog who loves to be with people! They are very smart and easily trained. They are very adaptable to most living conditions and likes the company of responsible children and other pets.
The papillon History dates back 700 Years. Originally known as the "dwarf Spaniel" the papillon was often depicted in paintings. Sitting on the laps of French and Spanish noblewoman. The papillon originally had drop ears but later was bred to have large erect, fringed ears resembling a butterfly. Papillon in French means "butterfly" The papillon is considered a toy breed and was first recognized by the American Kennel Club in 1915.
